Love This Towel

A dear friend in Las Vegas donated some fabrics for our prayer quilts this week. I couldn’t believe when I opened the box and found this beautiful embroidered towel. We have so many wild chickens in our neighborhood that it fits my kitchen perfectly. In fact Claudia’s husband came last week and rounded up one that had laid eggs in the yard so the dogs didn’t get her.

Ladies Luncheon At Shiloh

I attended the mother day luncheon at church again this year and decided to offer a quilt to raffle. The tickets were sold at the luncheon and I was so thrilled they were able to raise $800 from the ticket sales. The money was donated to the local children’s home. The quilt was made using all Kaffee Fasset fabrics and I love how it came out an may have to make another for myself.

Two More Prayer Quilts

Two more quilts done. The fish has been delivered and the green and white one will go this Sunday. I received a beautiful card from the gentlemen that received the fish quilt. My dear friend Marilyn is kind enough to deliver the quilts for me.

These Two Went Also

Of course the other 2 were groomed as well. They never smell but they sure look better than when I groom them. Unfortunately we now have Merlin and Argus on meds for different things. It cracks me up how as soon as they see those medicine bottles they are gone. Grooming wears them slap out.

Had to add a pic of Argus in his post groom jammies.

Boys Got A Serious Groom

After scheduling several groomers that cancel last minute or no show, I finally found a recommended groomer at my daughters shop. Poor Argus pulls his hair put when it’s long and has made so many hot spots he had to be cut really short so they would heal. You don’t realize how skinny he is until you cut his hair. Now he loves his blankie. Here’s his before and after.

Prayer Quilts Earlier This Year

With the help of friends basting, I was finally able to finally finish a few quilts for the prayer quilt ministry. The heart bargello and red bird 4 patch posey came out much prettier than I expected. I hope they bring some comfort to the recipients.

Well Here We Are – 2025

Here we are almost half way thru 2025 and once again I kind of forget I have a blog. Honestly I don’t think my life is exciting enough to blog about and that is likely why I don’t remember to do it. If you aren’t interested in quilting or pets, I likely don’t have much to offer the average reader.

Our saddest news of 2025 is our sweet Kiljeadean (aka Killy) went over the rainbow bridge 2 weeks ago. She was one of the best cats I’ve had and I hope I gave her the best I could for 13 years or so. I think the boys miss her as much as I do. They spent days looking for her around the house.
