August 2025 Quilts

3 more for August. They were all prayer quilts to church members.

The first is called binding tool star using a jewel jelly roll.

2nd one I think turned out fabulous. Its another 4 patch posey using a Philip Jacobs fabric.

3rd one is a pattern called Diamond Pops by Donna Jordan. Super easy and comes out so pretty in any color.

July 2025 Quilts

The first is another hexagon using the Tula Pink everglow giraffe fabric. It went to my prior bosses new grandbaby. I love how it turned out. Wish I had a better picture.

The second one is another prayer quilt in a 4 patch posey design. That color wasn’t easy to match.

Here’s Some Quilts

As always most of my quilts are gifted as prayer quilts. I hadn’t realized until lately that I seem to be slowing down and don’t get as many done. Figured I’ll post them by the month. These are ones I finished in June of 2025. More months coming up next.

The first is a hexagon because you know I love making them. The second is a panel I’ve been planning for a while.

A Tad Bit Of Excitement

Like I mentioned, life is pretty quiet but I did buy new living room furniture last year. When I looked it up it didn’t seem that long ago but the boys and I love it. Had to add a cartoon just because I found it funny.

Pam’s Japan Trip

Our friend Pam amd her family take a trip each year and if any way possible she brings each of us a piece of fabric from her trip and we all make a quilt. 2025 was her trip to Japan. We are blessed she’s willing to run around in all these countries and find us something special.

She let us each pick a piece and I made one for a headboard above my bed. Hoping at some point to add a matching bed runner.

Some of the individual blocks.

So It’s Been A While

I had to stop and ask myself so what have I been doing since last year. It’s pretty easy to forget to blog it because I live a pretty quiet life but that works for me. Not much exciting goes on except work, quilts and dogs.

Funny update with dogs. We had to get a new groomer and unfortunately I wasnt completely clear when we talked about short hair for the summer. She shaved Argus and Baby dog almost down to the skin. Believe it or not it has taken close to a year for Baby dog to grow his coat back. Merlin never has to worry as he gets a very basic trim. Unfortunately that groomer is now gone so we are looking for a new one AGAIN.

Wow I Forgot Again

Someone asked me about my blog yesterday and once again I had completely forgotten about it. I guess its easy to do because I pretty much just write it for me and I think maybe only one or two people even know it’s here.

So, that being said. Let me see if I can catch things up. Might take a bit as looks like I haven’t posted in over a year. It took me a couple of days just to figure out how to do it again.
